Roar Lacrosse was formed in January 2010 and is based in Christchurch, New Zealand. The organisation was started to help develop and grow the sport of lacrosse in New Zealand.

The  Roar is a non-profit sports organization dedicated to promoting the sport of lacrosse for Primary, Intermediate and Secondary school age girls and boys through quality instruction, teaching fundamentals of the game, furthering the skills of more experienced players, and promoting good sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork.

Our team consists of a small group of individuals passionate about developing youth lacrosse in New Zealand. We are from all parts of the world including Canada, USA and New Zealand and have a vast amount of knowledge and experience both as players and coaches. Check out the Team.

Help Wanted

The Roar needs girls and boys who want to learn the great game of lacrosse! We also need parent volunteers, especially those who are knowledgeable about the sport, enjoy working with youth, and take pride in instructing youth, so if you wish to help we would love to hear from you.

The zone

Our programs are open to girls and boys in Canterbury. We provide a quality athletic experience for entry level to intermediate lacrosse players that promotes skill development, team play, and love of the sport.
